Visual Arts

Visual Arts education  aims to foster creativity and artistic expression among students.

The Visual arts curriculum  consists of six strands:

  • Drawing
  • Paint and colour
  • Print
  • Clay
  • Construction
  • Fabric and fibre.

The current curriculum was introduced as part of the Primary School Curriculum (1999).

 Michelangelo

Pupils are encouraged to explore different art techniques, learn about famous artists, and engage in hands-on projects. Visual Arts education not only develops pupils' artistic skills but also enhances their critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and self-confidence. It is an integral part of the curriculum, providing a platform for all pupils to unleash their imagination and appreciate the beauty of art.
